Rebecca began her creative career in the late 90s, going into business as a "tattoo artist" on the front lawn of her childhood home. Instead of selling lemonade, she thought, why not sell customized Milky-Pen tattoos. Eight dollars a pop seemed like a fair price. Regardless of the subpar customer turnout, Rebecca decided a career in art would only take the fun out of it anyway.

Rebecca grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey and Long Island before studying Studio Art and Biology at Clark University, then nursing at Columbia University. After completing two Masters – first in Biology and then Nursing – she settled on Long Island with her fiancé and dog.

While working as an ICU RN in Manhattan through the worst of the COVID pandemic, Rebecca used art as an outlet for processing her experiences. She currently works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and everyday on the job she is awed by human resilience.

In addition to using art for communication, meditation, and mental processing, Rebecca still finds it quite fun.
